• The overarching purpose of the role is to work with pupils who have learning difficulties usually with a statement of Special Educational Needs.
• The ideal Teaching Assistant Level 3 will be prepared to ‘go the extra mile’ to support very special young people.
• You will be required to prepare and adapt materials suitable for pupils with learning difficulties to use in class, alongside facilitating small group and 1 : 1 sessions for students in their specialised curricula.

About the school

The role will be working within a specialist school in Preston, becoming part of their school community supporting young people with barriers to learning and SEND learning needs.

As an Teaching Assistant Level 3, you would be required to meet the holistic needs of the pupils under the direction of the class teacher and senior support staff, alongside undertaking working 1 : 1 with individual students with SEND needs and potential challenging behaviour and barriers to learning.

There are opportunities for this role to become a permanent position after a qualifying period is worked.

Salary

£450 to £550 per week
