We're currently supporting a local authority in Merseyside in their search for an experienced Youth Justice Practitioner to join their Youth Offending Service. This is a frontline role focused on supporting young people involved in the justice system, with the aim of reducing reoffending and improving long-term outcomes.

You’ll be part of a multidisciplinary team working across statutory and early intervention services, using evidence-based approaches to engage young people, assess risk and vulnerability, and deliver meaningful change.

Key responsibilities :

Hold a caseload of young people subject to court orders and out-of-court disposals

Complete AssetPlus assessments and develop personalised intervention plans

Work collaboratively with families, schools, police, social care, and other agencies

Contribute to reports for court and multi-agency panels

Support young people to access education, training, and positive activities

Maintain accurate records and adhere to safeguarding and public protection protocols

About you :

Experience working in youth justice, youth offending, or a related setting

Confident using the AssetPlus framework (or similar assessment tools)

Skilled in engaging young people with complex needs

Comfortable working within multi-agency safeguarding structures

Enhanced DBS (preferably on the update service)
