Job description

Blueprint Recruitment are currently seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join a leading engineering consultancy, on a 6-month contract basis. The successful candidate will be required to work on a hybrid basis from our client's office in Basingstoke, 2-3 days a week. Within this role, you will have the opportunity to work on a complex healthcare project, with a great team of engineers and professionals.

Competitive day rate of £400 (depending on experience)
Hybrid working arrangement (2-3 days on-site)

Responsibilities :

Design and technical review, problem-solving, and overseeing responsibilities like design management, combined with opportunities for hands-on design work.

Produce accurate mechanical designs, specifications, and calculations for building systems.

Collaborate with clients and other professionals throughout the lifespan of the projects.

Attend site visits to inspect and examine the project's progress and ensure the design is being implemented properly.

Ensure that all designs comply with the project specifications and requirements.

Assist with the planning process of the project as well as carrying out risk assessments, and technical approvals.

Requirements :

Bachelor's degree in mechanical or building services engineering, or a related field, and working towards, or at, a chartered status.
