Children’s Residential Team Leader

Location : Rawtenstall, BB4

Working Hours : 42 hours per week

Salary : £30,554 per annum

Sleep-In Allowance : £78.30 per sleep-in (up to 8 per month, adding £7,516 annually)

About the Role

We are looking for dedicated and experienced Team Leaders to join a children’s residential care team. This role involves supporting children and young people who have experienced adverse childhood experiences and may have additional needs such as Autism, Social, Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (SEBD), or other complex challenges.

As a Team Leader, you will assist in managing the day-to-day operations of the home, ensuring smooth shift transitions, delegating tasks to support workers, and maintaining high standards of care. You’ll help children build relationships, engage in community activities, and develop essential life skills. You’ll also be responsible for safeguarding, overseeing routines, and maintaining a clean and safe environment.

What We’re Looking For

• Level 3 qualification in Children’s Residential Care
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a children’s residential setting
• Experience in leading a team is preferred
• Full UK manual driving licence
• Flexibility to work long shifts and sleep-ins (e.g., 8am–10pm plus sleep-in 10pm–7am)
• Confidence in leading and supporting a team
