Permanent Role

Salary : £35,000 per year , potentially more depending on experience

Location : Redditch

Hours : Full Time, 40 hours per week (MondayFriday, 08 : 0017 : 00 with 1-hour unpaid lunch break)

Coats Recruitment is delighted to be recruiting on a permanent basis for our well-established client in the logistics sector. This is an exciting opportunity to join a successful and growing business within the Transport and Distribution industry.

Key Responsibilities (include but are not limited to) :

Day-to-day route planning and scheduling

Ensuring vehicle utilisation is efficient to maximise cost-effectiveness

Maintaining compliance with Vehicle and Tachograph legislation

Liaising with drivers and account managers to resolve issues and maintain service standards

Scheduling vehicle maintenance work and rectifying any defects that arise

The Ideal Candidate Will Have :

Minimum 1 years route planning experience

Strong communication and administration skills

Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment

Experience using Transport Management Systems (TMS)

Knowledge of Driver Time Directive regulations

Good geographical knowledge of the UK road network

Analytical and problem-solving skills

Contract & Working Hours :

Permanent, full-time role (40 hours per week)

Core hours : Monday to Friday, 08 : 0017 : 00 (1-hour unpaid lunch)

Flexibility required

as this is a live transport planning role, overtime may be needed to maintain service levels when necessary
