Reporting to Head of IT, you will ensure the security, efficiency, and reliability of the complex network environment as well as more general IT support. You will contribute to multiple network related activities, resolve IT-related issues, manage key projects, including system migrations, and implementation of new server architectures and services. You will help develop the data optimisation strategy.
You must have the following skills and experience :
Understanding of Networking - working with Routers, Switches, Servers, Firewalls, VPNs, VLANs and general support and troubleshooting.
Understanding of DNS, DHCP, TCP / IP and WAN / LAN Tech
Virtualization experience (Hyper-V, VMware)
Strong expertise in Windows Server (2016, 2019 & 2022), Active Directory, Group Policy and Azure AD / Entra ID
Office 365 and Exchange experience (2016 & 2019)
Advanced in managing and troubleshooting VoIP Systems
Previous experience with Intune, SharePoint, Power Platform, OneDrive, Teams and PowerShell scripting is a bonus
Driving Licence and Car (Essential) (small amount of travel to Datacentre and you will be based on site in Bolton).
