Food Technologist

Brightwork have an excellent opportunity for a Food Technologist to join our manufacturing client at their site in South Lanarkshire, working on a permanent basis with immediate start available.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join an award-winning baked goods manufacturer where tradition meets innovation. This position is working Monday to Friday, on-site in South Lanarkshire.

The Role - Food Technologist

Playing a key role in the HACCP team, driving food safety excellence

Supporting food safety & quality culture across the site

Analysing performance data and leading improvements

Managing quality systems : supplier approval, audits, product specifications

Coordinating technical services like lab testing and equipment calibration

Championing product quality standards and customer satisfaction

Supporting production trials and new product development

The successful candidate

Experience in a similar role (ideally within baked goods)

HNC / HND in Food Technology or a related subject

HACCP Level 2, Internal Auditor training & Intermediate Food Hygiene

Strong knowledge of food safety & quality systems

Excellent IT, communication, and organisational skills
