Senior Brand & Marketing Manager
UNLOCKED Group (Spaces Unlocked & Unlocked Shoreditch) – Location: London – Reporting to Founder / Commercial Lead.
Role Overview: The UNLOCKED Group is hiring a Brand & Marketing Manager to own and operate the group’s marketing function, with a primary commercial focus on Spaces Unlocked (B2B) and a smaller, supporting role across Unlocked (B2C). This is a revenue‑accountable marketing role. The core purpose of marketing in this business is to generate demand, support short booking cycles, and protect premium pricing. Spaces Unlocked operates on an 8–12 week booking cycle and drives the majority of group revenue. Marketing activity must therefore directly support monthly pipeline targets, venue availability, and confirmed bookings.
Scope of Responsibility
- Primary focus (≈80%): Spaces Unlocked – B2B marketing and demand generation
- Secondary focus (≈20%): Unlocked – B2C brand and event marketing support
B2B performance is the success metric for this role. B2C activity is supportive and clearly bounded.
Key Objectives
- Generate consistent, high‑quality inbound demand for Spaces Unlocked (B2B)
- Support short booking windows with always‑on, multi‑channel marketing
- Maximise ROI from a lean marketing budget
- Ensure unsold dates are identified and addressed early
- Maintain strong, consistent brand execution across the UNLOCKED Group
Key Responsibilities
1. B2B Demand Generation & Performance Marketing (Core Responsibility)
- Own the end‑to‑end marketing engine for Spaces Unlocked
- Plan and execute always‑on campaigns aligned to monthly revenue targets, seasonal demand (Fashion Week, Filming, Christmas, Summer)
- Run and optimise paid media across Meta (Instagram / Facebook) and Google Search, optimising for Cost Per Lead (CPL), lead quality, and booking conversion
- Reallocate spend dynamically based on performance and pipeline gaps
- Work closely with Sales to ensure clean lead handover and fast feedback loops
This role requires hands‑on competence, not agency management.
Paid Media
- Meta Ads Manager: awareness, lead generation, retargeting
- Google Ads: high‑intent, competitor, and local search campaigns
- Budget control, testing, optimisation, and reporting
LinkedIn (Founder‑Led, Commercial)
- Shape and plan founder‑led LinkedIn content
- Align messaging to availability windows and priority audiences
- Support inbound credibility and outbound sales conversations
Organic Social
- Instagram content focused on proof, scale, and quality
- Social activity exists to support demand generation and sales, not vanity metrics
SEO & Website
- Own SEO roadmap and execution
- Build and optimise high‑intent landing pages
- Ensure organic traffic converts into qualified enquiries
Email & CRM
- Segmented campaigns tied to event type, availability window, past‑client reactivation and rebooking, short, commercial, action‑led copy
3. Brand Management (Group‑Level)
- Act as brand guardian across the UNLOCKED Group
- Ensure consistent, premium execution across websites, ads, email
- Support founder‑led brand storytelling where commercially relevant
- Ensure brand activity supports pricing power and faster decision‑making
4. Unlocked (B2C) Marketing Support
- Organic social support
- Brand consistency
- Ensure B2C activity does not distract from B2B revenue priorities
5. Reporting & Commercial Accountability
- Maintain a weekly marketing scorecard covering leads by channel, conversion rates, revenue influenced vs target
- Flag risk early (e.g. unsold dates 6–8 weeks out)
- Continuously test, learn, and optimise based on commercial outcomes
Required Experience & Skills
- 3–6 years’ experience in marketing, demand generation or growth roles
- Proven hands‑on experience running Meta Ads, Google Search Ads, strong SEO fundamentals (technical, on‑page, and content‑led)
- Experience supporting sales teams and short buying cycles
- Highly commercial, analytical, and outcome‑driven
Nice to have (not essential)
- Experience in events, venues, hospitality or B2B services
- Basic CMS or design skills (e.g. Squarespace)
- Experience working in lean, founder‑led environments
