Salary : £12.21–£13.50 per hour DOE
Role Overview
My client is seeking a friendly, customer-focused Retail & Parts Sales Assistant to join their team. In this role, you will support the daily operation of the retail showroom, assisting customers with sales of parts, hardware, clothing , and groundcare equipment .
Reporting to the Parts & Retail Manager, you will provide product advice, process orders, manage showroom stock, and support the service department by sourcing parts. You’ll play a key role in ensuring a smooth customer experience both in-person and over the phone.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the sale of parts, accessories, and equipment within the retail showroom
- Provide excellent customer service, answering queries face-to-face and by phone
- Support internal technicians by identifying and sourcing required parts
- Receive, unpack, and distribute goods and customer orders accurately
- Maintain an organised and well-presented showroom environment
- Handle payments via cash, card, and cheque with accuracy
- Contribute to sales targets through proactive customer engagement
- Use initiative to support the team and ensure smooth daily operations
Essential Skills & Experience
Familiarity with agricultural and horticultural equipment and parts (advantageous)Excellent interpersonal skills and a genuine enjoyment of working with the publicAbility to work effectively under pressure, especially during peak seasonsCompetent in basic IT systems and general internet useComfortable handling numbers and processing transactions accuratelySales-driven, with a motivation to meet targetsFull UK driving licencePhysically fit and capable of manual handling as part of day-to-day dutiesTeam player who can also work independently and take initiativeWhat My Client Offers
