We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Credit Control Manager to lead and enhance our credit management and collections function within a high-volume, low-value transaction environment. Previous experience in a formal Credit Control Manager role is not essential. We actively encourage applications from experienced Credit Control Team Leaders or similar professionals who are looking to progress to the next stage of their career.

The successful candidate will be responsible for safeguarding the company’s cash flow, reducing aged debt, and implementing best-in‑class credit control practices while maintaining strong relationships with both internal stakeholders and customers.

This is a pivotal role where your energy, knowledge, and forward‑thinking leadership style will play a key part in enhancing and automating credit management processes, streamlining workflows, and ensuring all credit activities are delivered to the highest standards of accuracy, compliance, and professionalism.

Key duties & Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain effective credit policies aligned with company risk appetite and business goals.
• Oversee the timely collection of receivables, ensuring strong performance across a large customer portfolio.
• Manage and mentor a small, multi-site team of credit controllers, promoting collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Conduct thorough credit assessments, set appropriate credit limits, and support commercial teams in balancing risk and opportunity.
• Lead dispute resolution and billing queries in coordination with Finance and Operations.
• Produce regular reports and analysis on debtors, cash flow, and key metrics (DSO, overdue debt, bad debt, etc.).
• Champion process improvement and automation initiatives, leveraging ERP, CRM, or credit management tools to enhance efficiency.

Requirements

We’re seeking a confident, driven and commercially minded credit professional with strong leadership experience and a proven record of improving cash flow and debtor performance.
