Domestic Electrician

We’re currently recruiting for a qualified Electrician to join our client’s Property Services Team covering the Southampton area. As you’ll spend a fair amount of time on the road, we will provide you with a van and fuel card so you won’t be out of pocket.

What you’ll do :

As an Electrician, you will carry out all types of electrical repairs and maintenance in our properties as part of our Electrical Team :

• Carry out routine testing of electrical services equipment and repairs in customers’ homes
• Undertake responsive repairs and works within planned teams in line with schedules, IEE wiring regulations, and SNG’s standard procedures
• Apply your knowledge of health and safety best practices on all jobs
• Estimate, requisition, and recommend materials and spares to ensure repairs meet IEE wiring regulations and Health & Safety at Work standards
• Record and report the status and condition of electrical services equipment via inspection sheets and minor works / installation certificates

What you’ll need :

• Relevant experience in a similar role, ideally within the Residential / Housing sector
• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent), 18th Edition (BS7671), and City & Guilds 2391 Electrical Test / Inspect
• Full UK driving licence with a minimum of 1 year’s experience, able to drive and take home a company van

This is a full-time role, working 40 hours per week, with opportunities to supplement your salary through call-outs and overtime
