Shift : 5 out of 7 days, based on a rolling rota.

About the Role

As a Class 2 Driver, you will :

• Use a curtain side vehicle with a tail lift to deliver bakery products on behalf of Allied Bakeries, Hovis and Braces Bakery from our depot in Cullompton to a range of retail outlets, wholesale and convenience stores across the South West.
• Engage with customers directly at delivery points, ensuring their delivery expectations are met and managed effectively.
• Maintain flexibility to accommodate early start times, operate tail-lift equipment, and handle manual bread deliveries safely and efficiently.
• Ensure goods are loaded and secured correctly to prevent shifting or damage. Use straps, load restraining bars, and other securing devices as needed.
• Perform comprehensive daily vehicle safety checks using your company phone to maintain top-notch vehicle safety and reliability.
• Stay in regular communication with the transport team to provide updates on your progress and ensure our customers' expectations are met.
• Participate in regular training sessions to stay ahead with the latest industry standards and best practices.
