Electrically Biased Maintenance Engineer

Entry £47,432 rising through two stages to a maximum of £50,749 dependant on experience
Shifts :
Monday - Friday Perm Nights
We are looking for an Electrically biased Maintenance Engineer to join a busy packaging plant in Leicester. Ideally Engineers will have worked within a fast-paced manufacturing environment such as food, pharmaceutical or FMCG and looking for their next role. You'll be joining a strong team of Engineers dedicated to ensuring smooth, efficient operations across the site. Your day-to-day will include a balance of reactive and planned preventative maintenance, driving continuous improvement projects, and helping identify root causes to increase reliability and performance.
Key Responsibilities :
Electrical fault finding and repair on production machinery
Quick and effective response to breakdowns
Lead small projects to improve plant performance
Conduct routine Health & Safety checks on equipment
Work with PLC controls and automation systems
Experience on any of the following machines would be advantageous :
Flow Wrappers
Slitting Machines
Check Weighers
Metal Detectors
Label Printing Machines
Vertical Form Fill & Seal Machines
Conveyor Systems
Hydraulics
Pneumatics
Bearings
Motors
General building maintenance
Ideal Candidate :
Electrically focused engineering qualification (Level 3 or equivalent)
Some mechanical / multi-skilled engineering experience
Experience in delivering improvement projects and efficiency initiatives
Previous experience in a manufacturing environment (food / FMCG / pharma preferred, but not essential)
