Job descriptionProven experience managing a large fleet (ideally 250+ vans). Knowledge or exposure to plant machinery (e.g. diggers, excavators, low loaders, tipper wagons) is desirable but not essential. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Excellent communication and reporting skills. A proactive approach to compliance and safety. Competitive salary of £45,000 - £55,000, dependent on experience. Benefits package. Opportunity to join a leading construction company during an exciting period of growth. Transport Manager - Redditch. Salary : £45,000 - £55,000 + Benefits. Our client, a leading construction company experiencing significant growth, is seeking a Transport Manager to oversee and optimise fleet operations. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to join a forward-thinking business and play a key role in ensuring their fleet remains safe, compliant, and efficient.
Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate the company's fleet (250+ vans).
- Monitor vehicle usage through the fleet tracker system.
- Ensure vehicles are serviced on time and remain fully compliant.
- Liaise with local garages and suppliers to arrange repairs and maintenance.
- Carry out regular checks on vehicle condition and compliance.
- Produce detailed reports on vehicle status, usage, and maintenance history.
- Track vehicles and update systems accurately.
