An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Manchester and Trafford Local Care Organisations as an Administrator.

Main duties of the job

  • Providing effective and efficient clerical and administrative support to Community Health and Integrated Neighbourhood teams.
  • Coordination and implementation of office procedures and will require a high degree of organisational skills and excellent working knowledge of administrative systems.
  • Be the first point of contact and a focal point for the services requiring clear communication and liaison skills.
  • Work as part of a team at a community base and provide cross cover at other bases during periods of staff absence or increased workload in other teams.
  • Liaise closely with the multidisciplinary team ensuring the consistent delivery of service. It is essential that the post‑holder is able to work flexibly as part of a team to deliver the service requirement.

Qualifications

  • Good standard of numeracy and literacy.
  • Evidence of recent further development / training to NVQ 3 level.
  • IT qualification or equivalent.
  • Skills and Knowledge

  • Able to deal confidently and professionally with all members of the MDT including patients and their families, resolving queries and progress chasing.
  • Ability to analyse information to resolve problems.
  • Good organisational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Well‑developed negotiating and motivating skills.
  • Experience of servicing meetings and taking minutes.
  • Ability to utilise a range of IT programmes, including Microsoft Office Suite, including knowledge of Microsoft Access and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of the Health Service.
  • Knowledge of Patient Administration systems e.g. EMIS / HIVE.
  • Experience

  • Demonstrable experience of working within and office environment.
  • Experience of working with the NHS in a support role.
  • Personal Attributes

  • Ability to work as part of a team as well as on own initiative.
  • Adaptable with a flexible approach to work and working hours.
  • Willingness to work flexibly at various locations in the service.
  • Ability to travel between various locations in the community.
  • Recognition of own limitations / flexibility.
