Senior Care Assistant

Please note that this is a full-time role working day shifts from 8am - 8pm, 38.5 hours per week. Full flexibility is required.

This role involves planning and implementing care that provides residents with security, dignity, and independence. You will get to know residents and their families, helping to deliver personalized care plans. Leading a team of Care Assistants, you will maintain high standards of care and influence your team positively. Whether demonstrating how to use a walking frame, assisting with meals at the end of life, or communicating with families, you will do so with kindness.

You will assist the Registered Nurse and Care Manager in providing physical and mental stimulation through social and recreational activities, as well as administering medication. Maintaining accurate records and building strong team relationships are also key responsibilities.

Ideally, you will have completed a Level 2 Diploma in Adult Care or NVQ and be willing to work towards a Level 3 qualification. A background in person-centered care planning and knowledge of dementia care are preferred. However, your positive energy, ability to get along with others, good record-keeping skills, and effective time management are essential. Communication should always be considerate and kind.
