Religious Education (RE) Teacher – Secondary School – Blackpool - September Start

Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with an Ofsted-rated ‘Good’ and culturally diverse secondary school located in Blackpool . The school is seeking to appoint a passionate and knowledgeable  RE Teacher  to join their Humanities department from  September  on a  full-time, long-term basis  to cover a staffing vacancy.

Start Date :  September

Contract Type :  Full-time, long-term

Pay :  Paid in line with your teaching scale (MPS / UPS)

About the Role :

  • Delivering engaging and thought-provoking RE lessons to students across  Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 .
  • Encouraging critical thinking, tolerance, and respect through a well-structured and inclusive Religious Education curriculum.
  • Planning lessons, preparing resources, and assessing pupils in line with school policies and national standards.
  • Creating a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that nurtures open dialogue and inquiry.
  • Participating in departmental meetings, whole-school CPD, parents' evenings, and contributing to school life.

The Ideal Candidate Will :

  • Hold  Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)  or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Have a strong subject knowledge in Religious Education and a commitment to promoting understanding and respect for diverse beliefs.
  • Be dedicated to fostering academic growth, curiosity, and personal development in young people.
  • Possess excellent classroom management and interpersonal skills.
  • Hold or be willing to apply for an enhanced DBS on the update service.

    All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
