About the role and team

We are looking to recruit a 3-10   years PQE lawyer to act for our large and expanding client base of Registered Providers

General residential development experience is essential and  experience of acting for Registered Providers in the acquisition of  development sites , package deals and S.106 units both turnkey and golden brick arrangements is  essential and able to hit the ground running.

Our Social Housing team is one of the largest teams at Anthony Collins based in Birmingham and Manchester providing full legal services from Governance, Finance, Housing Management, Construction and Procurement together with real estate.

About the candidate

We are looking for a Real Estate lawyer that can be based in   Birmingham . Ideally the candidate should have :

  • A proven track-record in acting for Registered Providers and / or house builders,  developers, land owners, local authorities contracting with Registered Providers
  • Good client relationships and a keen interest for business development
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision on routine transactions such as conditional and unconditional contracts, options, golden-brick and other affordable housing transactions, back-to-back sales, deeds of easement, infrastructure agreements, overages etc
  • A good understanding of affordable housing transactions and how they interlink with plot sales and charging to lenders;
  • Ability to supervise and line manage junior staff
