We are currently recruiting for an experienced Assistant Quarry Manager to join and lead our friendly operations team at our Tarmac Torcoed Quarry in Porthyrhyd near Carmarthen, South Wales. As well as Porthyrhyd and Carmarthen this site is accessible from Llanelli, Gorslas, Ammanford, Gorseinon, Swansea, Morriston, Neath, Ystradgynlais, Port Talbot, Lampeter, Newcastle Emlyn, St Clears and the surrounding areas.

Main Responsibilities

The Assistant Quarry Manager will manage and be accountable for all operations on the Quarry and Asphalt Plant. Safety and operational standards are the fundamentals of the role with cost control, people management, delivery to customer needs and performance improvement being key. Managing plant compliance with business policies and procedures and ensuring that legislative compliance is also a strong aspect of the role.
