Assistant Commercial Manager

Location: East Croydon (Hybrid: 2–3 days on-site, remainder remote; within 2 hours of East Croydon Station)

Contract: 3 months initially

Overview

We are looking for an Assistant Commercial Manager to support procurement across tram infrastructure, including civils, power, and track. The role covers pre- and post-contract procurement, stakeholder engagement, and governance compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver compliant procurement services and maintain accurate records.
• Assist with contract reviews, negotiations, and change requests.
• Plan and manage procurement exercises collaboratively using digital tools.
• Support operational continuity, including urgent infrastructure procurement.
• Qualified or part-qualified CIPS / RICS or equivalent.
• Experience in pre- and post-contract procurement.
• Knowledge of the Procurement Act 2023 and procurement governance.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and prioritisation skills.
• Experience with SAP Ariba / SAP R3 and e-tendering portals.
• Transport, infrastructure, or civil engineering sector experience.
