SEN Teaching Assistant

Overview

Job Title : SEN Teaching Assistant — Location : Northumberland — Hours : Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8 : 30am – 3 : 30pm

We are seeking a passionate and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and inclusive educational setting in Morpeth. This full-time role is ideal for someone with a strong background working with neurodiverse children across EYFS, KS1, KS2 or KS3. You will play a vital role in supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, helping them to access the curriculum, develop social and emotional skills, and thrive in a nurturing learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide tailored support to neurodiverse pupils in small groups or 1 : 1 settings.
• Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and accessible lessons.
• Implement individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour support strategies.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment.
• Monitor and report on pupil progress and wellbeing.
