Main duties of the job

The duties and responsibilities of the post holder require service delivery in a wide range of clinical environments as well as to a diversity of patient presentations and will involve lone working in particular areas or specialities and at particular times. The service is delivered on a shift basis, working 7 : 45am - 8pm 7 days a week. The post is a rotational radiographer post. Rotating through CT, MRI and x-ray, both static and mobile units.

This vacancy has been advertised in accordance with the new NHS pay rate which will take effect from autumn 2024. Please note if your employment starts before the 24 / 25 pay scales are implemented you will be paid under the 23 / 24 pay scales and any backpay will be adjusted accordingly. Education & professional Qualifications

Essential

  • DCR (R) or BSc Diagnostic Radiography
  • HCPC registration

Desirable

  • IV Cannulation Certificate
  • Royal Free World Class Values

    Essential

  • Demonstrable ability to meet the Trust Values
  • Experience

    Essential

  • Substantial post qualification experience
  • Knowledge and experience with NHS Targets and Care pathways
  • Experience in specialised imaging techniques such as CT, Interventional Radiology / Cardiology
  • Experience using PACS and RIS and an understanding of its significance for good service management and patient care
  • Experience dealing with a diverse range of patient presentations
  • Desirable

  • Experience of performing Quality Assurance tests and management of a robust QA program
  • Skills and aptitudes

    Essential

  • Ability to work independently and also within a team
  • Ability to prioritise and organise demands and multi-task.
  • Willing to take direction and learn from more experienced colleagues
  • IV Cannulation experience and administration of Contrast
  • Desirable

  • Demonstrate a sound understanding of cross sectional anatomy
