Role Summary
We are seeking an Email Marketing Strategist to join our team on a full‑time basis. In this role, you will lead the strategic planning and assist with the execution of clients’ email marketing initiatives – from automation and flows to list growth strategies, advanced segmentation modelling and performance reporting. You will directly manage a small number of client accounts, serving as the growth lead who drives email campaign planning, weekly client calls, and continual programme improvements. This is a remote / flexible position (UK‑based) with a competitive salary.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and own comprehensive Klaviyo‑led email marketing strategies aligned to each client’s commercial goals, customer lifecycle, and retention objectives. Drive email growth initiatives that deliver measurable improvements in engagement, conversion, and customer lifetime value, ensuring alignment with wider CRM and retention strategies.
Lead the strategy and optimisation of automated email programmes and customer journeys, including welcome series, abandonment flows, post‑purchase, retention, and re‑engagement campaigns. Ensure best practices are applied across timing, frequency, personalisation, and deliverability. While this is a strategic role, you will be comfortable supporting hands‑on execution within Klaviyo where required.
Define and implement list growth strategies focused on sustainable, high‑quality subscriber acquisition. Develop and optimise signup mechanisms, lead capture campaigns, incentives, and preference management approaches, while maintaining strong list health, data quality, and compliance.
Design and refine advanced segmentation models within Klaviyo to enable highly targeted and personalised campaigns. Use behavioural, transactional, and engagement data to improve relevance, drive performance, and support sophisticated lifecycle marketing.
Establish clear reporting frameworks and KPIs to measure email performance, including deliverability, engagement, revenue contribution, and ROI. Analyse campaign and flow performance to surface actionable insights, and translate data into clear recommendations for continuous optimisation. Prepare and present weekly and monthly performance updates, as well as quarterly business reviews (QBRs).
Act as the strategic email lead for a handful of client accounts, building strong, trusted relationships with client stakeholders. Lead weekly client calls, guiding discussions around strategy, performance, testing opportunities, and upcoming initiatives. Serve as a Klaviyo and email growth expert, providing confident recommendations and thought leadership.
Work closely with internal designers, copywriters, developers, and campaign managers to ensure strategies are executed accurately and efficiently. Provide clear briefs, review outputs, and ensure all email activity aligns with strategic intent and Enchant’s quality standards.
Create high‑quality strategy documents, campaign roadmaps, and performance presentations. Deliver clear, engaging presentations to clients that communicate strategy, results, insights, and next steps. Translate complex data and technical concepts into practical, easy‑to‑understand recommendations.
Ensure all email marketing activity follows industry best practices and legal requirements, including GDPR and deliverability standards. Stay up to date with Klaviyo product developments, email trends, and regulatory changes, applying this knowledge proactively to improve client outcomes.
Skills and Experience
2+ years of demonstrable experience in email marketing and CRM (typically a dedicated email or lifecycle role, ideally within an agency or client‑facing environment). Proven experience driving growth through strategic email programmes.
Deep, hands‑on expertise in Klaviyo is essential. You are confident in building and optimising campaigns, flows, segments, and reporting within Klaviyo, and you understand how to use the platform to drive retention and revenue growth. A data‑driven mindset is critical.
Strong analytical ability, with confidence in interpreting email performance data and customer behaviour. Comfortable defining KPIs, building reporting frameworks, and using tools such as Klaviyo analytics, Google Analytics, and Excel / Sheets to support insights and recommendations.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with fluent, professional English (British English tone preferred). Confident in leading client conversations and presenting strategy and performance to senior stakeholders. Strong presentation skills are essential.
Highly organised and self‑motivated, able to manage multiple client programmes simultaneously. Comfortable working independently in a remote environment, taking ownership of priorities, timelines, and outcomes.
A collaborative team player who works effectively with designers, copywriters, developers, and campaign teams. Open to feedback and skilled at coordinating cross‑functional work to deliver high‑quality results.
Experience working with Retail, DTC, or Travel brands is advantageous, along with an understanding of customer lifecycle marketing within these sectors.
Comfortable adapting to new client challenges, industries, and growth objectives. Curious, proactive, and committed to continuous learning within the email and Klaviyo ecosystem.
A degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field is beneficial, but proven experience and results matter most.
