Circa £39k per annum (rising after successful probation)

Portsmouth, PO16

We are currently looking for an experienced Operations Manager to oversee the day to day running of our busy Distribution Centre in Portsmouth.

The Position : As Operations Manager you will be responsible for all aspects of running the

Portsmouth Distribution Centre reporting to the Regional Operations Support Manager. Y our duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to :

Ensuring accurate completion of next day multi temp deliveries

Warehouse management and stock control

Transport planning and vehicle management for the site HGV fleet

Lead, manage and develop a team of distribution staff

Responsibility for Health and Safety within the Distribution Centre

Responsible for recruitment to ensure the strongest possible distribution team

Continually review and make recommendations to the senior management team to ensure the optimum and efficient operation of the site

Liaise with our dedicated sales teams to ensure sales and service opportunities are maximised

To achieve KPIs set by the business

The Person

Experience within an operations environment that demonstrates the capability to build, lead, manage and motivate a team

Be able to demonstrate a good understanding of transport functions and warehousing, preferably in a dual temperature foodservice environment

Target driven and willing to take ownership for setting and achieving high standards

Up to date knowledge of health and safety regulations within a transport environment

Strong communication skills both written and verbal at all levels
