An esteemed client of mine is looking for an exceptional individual to join the team as a Chief Planner. This is a strategic leadership role within the council, responsible for shaping the future of their borough, driving sustainable growth, and delivering high-quality planning outcomes for its communities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Planning Policy, Development Management, and Strategic Planning teams.
- Oversee the delivery of the Local Plan and ongoing minor and major projects.
- Provide expert advice to elected members, senior officers, and stakeholders.
- Champion innovation in planning and ensure compliance with national legislation.
- Foster strong partnerships with developers, neighbouring authorities, and the community.
