Description

We are interested in speaking with Project Managers with experience in the delivery of capital plant (MEP) within infrastructure projects, ideally in Data Centres.Supporting our clients with theirOFCI / CFCI and plant equipment framework and VMI agreements. Vendor / client facing and managing processesto enable successful delivery of critical IT infrastructure throughout EMEA.

Role Purpose

We have an exciting opportunity to join our PDS Data Centre team, a friendly, professional and dynamic group.

The successful candidate will have experience in performing as part of a wider dedicated consultancy team delivering projects. This is a fast-paced team with an enviable client-list and with an increasing workload; there is significant opportunity for progression and rapid career development.

You will need to demonstrate relevant and recent experience with appropriately sized projects as well as the ability to engage and communicate effectively with clients, consultants and contractors. You will also be encouraged to support colleagues in various technical and knowledge management initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have a technical and / or experience-based PM background. They will have a solid understanding of the requirements to successfully deliver infrastructure and be able to communicate advice appropriately and effectively.

Requirements :

Experience in DC’s or Capital plant on infrastructure projects

Experience of site co-ordination / delivery of plant equipment

Driving manufacturers to schedules

Understanding the importance of the testing required and factory witness tests to setup for success of DC construction.

Familiar with but does not need to be an expert in the Data Center Levels of commissioning 1 to 5 or 0 to 6 and the sequence.

LEVEL 2 | Component Delivery, Installation & Pre-Start-up,

LEVEL 3 | System Start-up,

LEVEL 4 | Functional Testing,

LEVEL 5 | Integrated System Testing,

LEVEL 6 | Closeout / Turnover / Handover

Has experience in co ordinating factory witness testing activities.

Able to drive vendors and manufactures to resolve issues raised in testing and or client requirements to enable equipment site acceptance.

Experienced in procurement and pre site delivery activities of plant procurement.

Handover to on-site plant manager.

Client facing.

Embedded within client teams.

o A track record of delivering appropriately sized projects for occupier and / or investor clients

o Experienced with managing procurement of Datacentre OFCI / CFCI plant equipment.

o Demonstrable Vendor / client facing and managing procurement processes.

o Support the production of proposals, bids and RfP responses

o Demonstrable Business Development network and desire to grow a team around you

o Work with clients, design teams and contractors to optimise solutions

o Ability to advise clients and stakeholders

o Experience of delivering high quality services from inception to completion

o Enthusiastic, proactive and self-motivated

o Very good communication skills

o Flexible and have the ability to work to deadlines

o Good knowledge of Microsoft Office products

o Willing to integrate into a dynamic, engaged and supportive team
