Your new role

We are seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to work on one of the largest infrastructure projects in the UK, based in the Peterborough area. You will manage a team of multi-disciplinary contractors and supply chain partners, promoting collaboration and innovation to lead in commercial management.

Main responsibilities include :

• Achieving the appropriate commercial results through accurate financial reporting.
• Building and maintaining relationships with the supply chain and clients.
• Managing subcontractor accounts financially and contractually.
• Monitoring subcontractors against the programme and negotiating final accounts.
• Developing, managing, and coordinating procurement schedules.
• Completing measurements and valuations of work, ensuring contractual compliance.
• Monitoring project expenditure and providing cost analysis and projections.
• Exploring opportunities to maximize value and minimize costs.
• Liaising with clients on commercial issues, including variations, claims, and payments.
• Identifying contractual claim situations and preparing documentation.
• Creating project-specific commercial risk and opportunity profiles with controls and responsibilities.
• Leading and supporting a team of Surveyors, including performance management, reviews, workforce planning, and professional development.
