Senior Quantity Surveyor

We are seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a reputable civil engineering contractor delivering long-term, high-value infrastructure work in the water sector. With a secured pipeline of projects across the next decade, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a collaborative and forward-thinking commercial team at a key time of growth. This position has become available due to a strategic internal move, and we’re now looking to add a commercially astute QS who can take ownership of major work packages, manage subcontractors, and support financial delivery across complex civils schemes. What You’ll Be Doing

• Manage the commercial performance of water infrastructure packages
• Administer and manage NEC contracts, including compensation events
• Conduct cost forecasting, valuations, and final accounts
• Oversee subcontractor procurement and commercial relationships
• Collaborate with delivery and planning teams to ensure budget alignment
• Prepare accurate monthly cost / value reports for internal and client reviews
• Lead on risk, value engineering, and change management What We’re Looking For
• 5+ years of experience in a Quantity Surveyor role, ideally in utilities or civil infrastructure
• Proven NEC contract experience (NEC3 or NEC4)
• Confident working independently on large or multiple work packages
• Strong reporting, negotiation, and financial control skills
