Handyperson -Northern Ireland Housing Executive - Newtownabbey Join the team at the Northern Ireland Housing Executive in Newtownabbey as a Handyperson and play an important role in supporting the maintenance and upkeep of housing properties. This is a great opportunity to contribute to essential repair and improvement works while working within a supportive public sector environment.. About the role :

£13.69 - £14.13 per hour
Monday to Friday, 8 : 30am - 4 : 30pm Monday - Thursday, 8 : 30am - 4 : 00pm Friday
37 hours per week
Holidays : 35 days pro rata
Duration : Temporary, ongoing

What you will be doing in this role :

Able to carry out roof-work repairs (tiles and chimney)

Patching of plaster and brickwork, concrete paths and erecting metal handrails

Sewer repairs

General labouring tasks.

What you'll need for this role :

Minimum 1 year’s relevant experience in a similar role i.e. Handyperson / Labourer or equivalent.

A full current driving licence, (C1 category desirable), a form of transport will be provided to enable the post holder to carry out their duties.

IT / Microsoft Office Proficiency Beginner

As part of the reference checking and vetting process for this position you will be requested to undertake a Basic AccessNI Disclosure. Having a criminal record will not necessarily be a bar to obtaining a position.
