Machine Operative

The Best Connection is working with our client who are a local company in Peterlee manufacturing for clients throughout the UK. Due to increased workload they now have a requirement for a Machine Operator to join their busy team.

Duties will include :

• Operating a calibrating machine using lifting equipment to move products on and off
• Use of basic hand tools
• Some manual handling
• Basic and routine maintenance
• General Housekeeping and keeping production area clean and tidy

Hours of work :

Monday - Thursday

6.30 - 4.00pm

No Friday working unless as overtime which is paid at time and a half

Rate of pay :

Basic : £12.50 per hour increasing to £13.36 per hour after 12 weeks

Overtime is paid at time and a half, £18.75 per hour, increasing to £20.04 after 12 weeks

The role is being offered a temp to perm basis for the right candidate.

This is an excellent opportunity to join an increasing team. Training will be provided on other machines within the factory however previous experience of running a machine is required.
