Job description

The Primrose Centre is seeking to recruit a flexible, enthusiastic, and reliable site manager as soon as possible. Good communication, interpersonal, and DIY skills are essential.

The Primrose Centre acts as the Primary Provision for both permanently and preventatively excluded children in Sandwell. We are very proud of the work we do at The Primrose Centre, and it is essential we recruit a motivated individual who shares our vision and can join us on our journey.

The site manager is responsible for a wide range of duties and responsibilities, which include line management, compliance and safety, maintenance, site security, and working with external agencies.

All duties will need to be performed with full transparency and in line with the trust's policies and procedures, as well as complying with HSE guidance.

You will need to be :

  • Physically able to undertake the duties of the role, such as using ladders, ground maintenance, and moving furniture.
  • Reliable, punctual, and have excellent attendance.
  • Possess a flexible and adaptable approach to working patterns and job tasks.
  • Observe safe working practices in carrying out the required duties.
  • An independent worker, team player, personable, and emotionally intelligent.

Experience : Previous experience of working in a school or education setting would be desirable but not essential.

Essential : Previous experience of managing sites and facilities, as well as previous people management experience, is essential.

    Hours : 20 hours per week (1pm - 5pm, Monday - Friday)

    Grade : Grade D, SCP 9 - 17 (£26,409 - £30,060 per annum, actual salary £14,275 - £16,248 pro-rata per annum)
