Job summary
The post holder will participate with colleagues to maintain a rota of cover for ParkView Padeatric Pilot Walk-In (1pm-5pm). They will be required to work flexibly over the range of shifts within the working hours. He / she will participate with colleagues to provide clinical assessment and diagnosis for children aged 0-5 years of age.
They will be allocated to a specific unit based on preference and clinical interest, and will be required to work flexibly over the range of shifts within the working hours of the specific unit to which they are rostered.
He / she will participate with colleagues to provide clinical assessment and diagnosis for patients and manage the workload of the facility. They will also provide support to other healthcare staff to ensure highest standards of care for all patients.
Main duties of the job
To provide high quality medical care to both adult and paediatric patients presenting to these services.
Provide support to the team of nurse practitioners and healthcare staff in the assessment and treatment of unscheduled, same day walk-in consultations, including supporting staff development and education.
Make professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems, whether self-referred or referred from other health care workers
Using evidence based knowledge when treating patients
