Job Description
You will be responsible for :
Working with our HR Administrator to ensure all recruitment, onboarding and staff procedures are compliant and administered across both offices.
Advising the HR Partners of changes to legislation and regulations and ensuring policies and procedures are kept up to date.
Be a listening ear for staff and advise senior managers and leadership team of employee related matters.
Negotiating terms with recruitment agencies, keeping records of agreed terms, updating these when required.
Assisting with and conducting interviews for new staff.
Developing and managing our performance management processes, ensuring reviews and appraisals are carried out on time, setting timeframes for action points arising and monitoring development plans.
Maintaining role descriptions across each discipline within the firm; ensuring a clear route for progression within each department.
Advising on and deploying a system for personal development for staff.
Identifying issues with performance or development plans, initiating discussions and meetings and any relevant action plans.
Implementing regular employee engagement surveys.
Attending monthly HR meetings, preparing People Report for Partners' meetings.
Maintain and develop our student training and mentoring program.
Liaising with our external HR Advisor when required to seek clarification or advice regarding any HR related matters.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Senior HR Advisor should have :
You will have a minimum of 5 years experience working in an HR role and have experience of supervising or managing a small team.
You will possess Chartered Membership of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.
You should be confident using software tools such as Microsoft Office, HR software and other self-serve websites.
You will likely be a graduate with a degree in business, HR or management but we will consider applications from people with equivalent experience / qualifications.
You should be articulate and able to demonstrate good written and oral communication.
You will have experience supporting a senior leadership team who have busy and demanding roles.
You will get on well with others and enjoy working in an office environment.
You will be willing to work across both our offices in Dunfermline and Edinburgh
What's on Offer
A salary range between £35,000pa to £40,000pa DOE
Opportunity to work in a vibrant office in Dunfermline (office based).
Occasional travel to Edinburgh
