General Engineering Labourer

Location : Denaby, Mexborough, South Yorkshire

Pay rate : £12.21

Our client is seeking a dependable and adaptable General Engineering Labourer to join our dynamic production team. This is a hands-on role offering full training and career development in a supportive, team-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

Engineering Support :

  • Assist machinists, welders, and engineers with fabrication and assembly tasks
  • Operate basic workshop machinery and tools (e.g., chop saws, grinders, drills)
  • Work within our paint spraying booth to assist with finishing tasks

General Labour :

  • Safely handle and store materials around the site
  • Perform general housekeeping and light gardening duties
  • Use the company pool car for collecting and delivering parts, tools, or materials

    • Health & Safety :

  • Follow all site safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE
  • Assist with maintaining tools and equipment in good working condition

    • Requirements

  • Experience : Some prior labouring or production experience is essential; experience in an engineering or manufacturing setting is a plus
  • Skills :

    • Basic mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn

  • Strong organisational and multitasking ability
  • A proactive attitude with the ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Other :

    • Full UK driving licence (essential)

  • Physically fit and comfortable with manual labour
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing tasks and priorities

    • Desirable (Training Provided if Needed)

  • Experience with forklift and / or crane operation
  • Familiarity with basic hand tools, power tools, and gardening tools
