HGV Class 1 Driving Role-Newton Abbot

We are currently recruiting for  Temporary drivers  for our depot in Newton Abbot. The role consists of store delivery work, delivering to local convenient stores involving 2-3 delivery points on each load where unloading into warehouse is required. No manual handling involved.

Shift Patterns Available :

  • AM Starts 0400-0600, 7 days a week. Predominentely Monday, Friday and Saturdays being the busiest days.
  • Would suit a driver looking for 2-4 shifts a week.

Day pay rates :

  • Monday – Friday  £15.00
  • Weekends £17.00

    • 45-minute break deducted per shift and minimum of 8 hours per shift worked.

    Immediate starts after successful completion of assessment and Induction day.

    What we are looking for :

  • In date DIGI and CPC card
  • Enthusiastic, reliable, helpful and organised individual.
  • Willing to work weekends.
  • Motivated and open to learn new skills.
  • Demonstrates an excellent attitude to work.

    • Your role :

  • Driving within the WTD and EU regs and rules.
  • Prepping vehicles for delivery.
  • Completing vehicles checks.
  • Refuelling vehicles.
  • The Driver must ensure that the highest levels of customer service are maintained on the round and orders are fulfilled on time and in full.
