We have several offices in Central and Southern England with ambitious growth plans. We have created a new opportunity for a Trust Tax Manager to join our growing Tax team. This is a full-time permanent position based in our Thame office, with hybrid (three days in the office and up to two days working from home) and flexible working options.
The Role
Your key responsibilities will include :
- Preparation of the annual tax returns and trust accounts for a complex portfolio of Trust and Estate clients.
- Review of IHT returns on death, periodic charges and exit charges.
- Assist the Partners with advisory work and trust technical queries.
- Ongoing management of the client portfolio including updating the Trust Registration Service.
- Liaising with clients directly and attending Trustee meetings with the lead partner where required.
- Provide support to the senior members of the Trust team as required.

Fully qualified (ACA or ACCA preferred).3 years UK post-qualified experience, preferably within a medium or large-sized firm.Knowledge of the agricultural sector is highly desirable.Detailed understanding of the different types of trusts and their tax implications.Tax return and accounts preparation experience with a wide range of UK trusts.Experience with the CCH suite of tax and accounting software would be beneficial.Strong client relationship and project management skills.Strong communication skills, verbal and written.Exceptional attention to detail and a proactive attitude.Ability to prioritise and meet tight deadlines with high-quality output.Self-motivated and able to work as part of a growing trust team.Demonstrate good judgement of risk and be commercially minded.Diversity, equality and inclusion
