We are named in the 2024 Caterer’s Top 30 Best Places to Work and Springboard’s 2024 Best Employer. We’re looking for a Chef De Partie to join Sam’s Bar & Kitchen and contribute to our Kitchen team.
Responsibilities
- Set up and preparation of menu items for your section; prepare food in advance for the coming week; may take ownership of the kitchen in the absence of the kitchen management team.
- Cook and deliver beautifully crafted food using the best ingredients sourced from local suppliers.
- Understand the importance of allergens and dietary safety within the kitchen.
- Responsible for all temperature logging for hot items and refrigerators to ensure full compliance.
- Run a section of the kitchen during a busy service and provide support to teammates to ensure a fast and accurate delivery.
- Clear and clean your section and other areas of the kitchen to remain compliant.
- Understand COSHH and HACCP related to food storage.
- Work towards guidelines of portion control including weights and measurements and log wastage for more accurate GP %.
About You / Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have experience as a Chef de Partie and possess excellent communication and presentation skills.Passionate about food and working with seasonal ingredients; standards-driven with a strong eye for detail.Able to take ownership of your section and work towards portion control guidelines (weights / measurements) and wastage logging for GP improvements.Ability to develop strong relationships with team members and colleagues; proficient in COSHH and HACCP related to storage.Salary
The on target earnings for this role are £33,662.81 per annum, comprising a base salary of £31,441.37 plus an estimated £2,221.44 in gratuities.
