Job Details Service Operative - Cornwall40 Hours5 out of 7 days 14.87 per hourSodexo rewards and benefits** Please note you must be over 25 years old and a Driver**Job IntroductionPosition: Service Operative The role involves working with a team of two Service Operatives to support the Contract Manager in delivering maintenance services to 29 fire stations across the Cornwall area, centred around postcode TR13 8NR.The job would suit a person who likes the outdoor role and is comfortable working unsupervised for much of their time whilst having the responsibility and maturity to ensure all tasks are completed as the job requirements.What You'll DoCarry out routine daily, weekly and periodic checks and audits at the Fire Stations when required.Carry out general handy person and minor maintenance tasks to include the following and other items of work: fixing shelves and notices, joinery repairs, changing light bulbs and tubes, replacing fluorescent light starters/diffusers, resetting tripped fuses, re-washering taps and minor plumbing repairs, unblocking wastes and drains, painting and decorating, replacing locks and hardware etcMonitor and Report on standards of repair and maintenance works carried out by other contractorsAssist in the co-ordination of Contractors activities at Fire Stations to ensure services are provided to programme and at minimum disruption to the Fire & Rescue Service.Provide emergency call out support to Fire & Rescue Service. and Contract ManagerProvide information to Contract Manager for compliance with monthly reporting timetable and generation of management, financial and client monthly reportsAttend meetings as directed and make reportsWork Within and undertake health and safety responsibilitiesBuild relationships the client where appropriate and ensure full cooperation as and when required.Foster good relationships and provide attendance and support to all building usersFlexible approach to work times, within the core hours of the contractSodexo site staff must remember that they represent Sodexo within an environment of minors and their manner must be courteous and professional at all timesAssist in fostering and developing the business through proactive actions.Essential Technical CompetenciesDue to the nature of the work, applicants must be fit and active and demonstrate a good health recordWritten English - Fluent (Business Level)Verbal English - Fluent (Business Level)Full/clean UK driving licenseDesirable Advanced Property Maintenance skills will be an advantage.What we offer:Working with Sodexo is more than a job; it's a chance to be part of something greater.
