Ashford & St Peter's Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Clinical Nurse Specialist for Haematology. The closing date is 28 September 2025 .
The Haematology team is seeking a highly motivated individual who is passionate about nursing and has solid experience to support malignant and some non-malignant haematology conditions. The post holder will work with five haematologists, CNS and cancer support worker colleagues. Possessing strong communication skills to support our shared patients with the Royal Surrey Cancer Centre and other tertiary centres, additionally providing advice and guidance to primary health providers.
Applicants will have the ability to work autonomously and should have a flexible approach. Counselling patients with new diagnosis or progression is a pivotal role, onwards coordinating work-up and monitoring treatment response. This role oversees the first point of contact for all Haematology on treatment patients, needing support and intervention to prevent deterioration and coordination of hospital admissions. This post will require you to demonstrate confidence in emergency and non-emergency care with strong leadership skills, experience in SACT & nurse led clinics, role modelling to junior staff.
This is a full-time role based at Ashford hospital where the Haematology chemotherapy unit is located, with travel to St Peters for the inpatient reviews, the post offers a unique opportunity to develop and deliver expert clinical and managerial nursing, working as part of a highly skilled team providing expert care within the cancer services team.
