We currently have an opportunity for an experienced People Management Trainer to join our People & Culture Directorate on a 12 month fixed term contract . Base location can be Exeter / Bristol or Redhills. This role requires considerable travel across the Pennon Group with potential for overnight stays. You will receive a competitive salary between £45,000 - £50,000 plus excellent benefits package. About the role : Reporting to the Inclusion and Employee Relations Lead, the People Management Trainer will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering a comprehensive training programme for line managers to enhance their employee relations (ER) capabilities. The People Management Trainer will help build confidence and capability among our line managers to create a respectful, fair, and people-centred working environments. In this pivotal role, they will lead the design, development, and delivery of an engaging and forward-thinking training programme that strengthens our approach to employee relations (ER). They will help managers understand evolving support structures, navigate complex ER matters with empathy and clarity, and actively contribute to a positive and inclusive employee experience. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract or secondment opportunity, ideal for someone passionate about people management, ER and inclusive leadership

What you will be doing :

  • Design and deliver a forward-thinking internal training programme
  • Create inclusive, accessible, and engaging learning content
  • Facilitate interactive, in-person training experiences
  • Develop and maintain a suite of practical learning resources
  • Track and evaluate training reach and impact
  • Partner with colleagues across People Services, IT, Communications, and operational teams
  • Champion a culture of continuous learning, curiosity, and capability-building

What we are looking for :

  • Exceptional communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to connect with, engage, and inspire diverse audiences
  • Strong organisational and project management capabilities
  • Proven ability to design and deliver inclusive, accessible learning content
  • Collaborative stakeholder engagement skills, with confidence in working alongside both internal colleagues and external partners to co-create solutions.
  • Skilled at translating complex employee relations topics into real-world, values-aligned learning that supports managers in leading with fairness and empathy.
  • Experience working in changeable environments, ideally supporting teams through organisational transformation
  • Strong understanding of Employee Relations legislation, practices, employment law and policies.
  • Full UK Driving Licence essential.
