Registered Manager - EBD / SEMHLocation : Ellesmere Port Contract Type : 3-Month Fixed-Term Contract (with the potential to extend or become permanent) Salary : Competitive (based on experience) Reports to : Area / Regional ManagerJob DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced and committed Registered Manager to lead a residential home for children and young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) and SEMH needs in Ellesmere Port. This is a 3-month contract, with the opportunity to extend or transition to a permanent role based on performance and service requirements.In this role, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the service, ensuring high standards of care, safeguarding, and compliance with Ofsted regulations, while leading a dedicated team of staff to provide therapeutic and child-centered care.Key ResponsibilitiesEnsure the home complies with Ofsted and Children's Homes RegulationsLead and motivate the team to deliver high-quality care for young peopleOversee safeguarding, child protection, and behaviour support plansManage individual care plans and risk assessmentsDevelop strong relationships with young people, families, and external partnersHandle staffing, budgets, rotas, and operational complianceLead on crisis management and ensure continuous improvement within the serviceEssential RequirementsMinimum 1 year of experience in a senior role within EBD / SEMH or residential childcareLevel 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care and Children & Young People's Services (or equivalent)Strong knowledge of safeguarding and child protection proceduresFamiliarity with Ofsted regulations and children's home legislationExcellent leadership, communication, and organisational skillsEnhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain)Full UK driving licence (preferred)What We OfferCompetitive salary3-month contract with the opportunity to extend or transition to a permanent roleOngoing professional development and trainingSupportive leadership team and collaborative environmentMeaningful and rewarding work making a difference to young people's lives
