Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Tracheostomy Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to residents in a care home setting. This position requires a commitment to supporting individuals with their daily activities and ensuring their comfort and well-being. A valid driving licence is preferred, as some roles may involve transporting residents.

Client requirements

• Condition : Acquired traumatic brain injury
• Clinical skills experience : Silver Negus tracheostomy (with regular suctioning), bowel management (alternate days), catheter in situ, conveen in use.
• Mobility : Head movement only, wheelchair user, tracking hoist in place
• Support : Full assistance with all care needs
• Behaviour : Can present with challenging behaviour
• Staffing : 2 : 1 support, 24 / 7 cover
• Shift pattern : 10 : 00–22 : 00 / 22 : 00–10 : 00
