LOCATION :

London or Salford / Hybrid - 2 days per week in the office

PROPOSED SALARY RANGE : £85,000 - £110,000 depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

The Head of Change - Technology Adoption will lead how change is delivered, adopted and embedded across a large technology portfolio. This role focuses on how the BBC introduces new technology into Broadcast, Production and end user environments - making sure it is understood, adopted and that programme and project benefits realisation delivers real value for the people who use the technology everyday and ultimately for our audiences.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND IMPACT

Responsible for driving adoption and benefits realisation across a large portfolio of technology programmes and projects

Working closely with Programme and Project Managers, ensuring change is planned, delivered and sustained, and enabling business teams to get the most from new tools, systems and ways of working

Leading a small team of four Change Managers and a Project Co- ordinator, providing direction, support and assurance, while setting a clear and consistent approach to change and engagement

Working with senior stakeholders, delivery teams and business areas, balancing strategic oversight with practical delivery

Providing leadership for the change management profession at the BBC - inspiring others and applying specialist knowledge and experience to support the development of Change Management maturity.

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA :

Relevant qualification including one or more of Change Management Institute ACMF (Accredited Change Manager Master); APMG - Change Management Practitioner; Prosci ADKAR[1] Model or equivalent

Experience leading the initiation, management and implementation of change via large-scale transformational change programmes

Strong demonstrable understanding and approach to benefits management - from strategy to realisation

In-depth working knowledge of the principles and concepts that underpin change management and able to advise with authority senior stakeholders on 'good practice approach' to business change

Credibility and impact with senior leaders; adept at using influence and persuasion to gain buy-in to enable change to happen through others

DESIRABLE :

An appreciation of changing technology and working practices across the broadcasting industry.
