Role Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Neuro Rehab Assistant to join our team in Aylesbury. This is a fantastic opportunity to work alongside and receive hands-on training from our highly skilled neuro therapists, including specialists in neuro physiotherapy, psychology, occupational therapy, and more.
This is an autonomous role, you and the team will be responsible for managing the client’s day, including planning and supporting outings, appointments, educational sessions, activities, rest periods, dog walks, and meals, ensuring to maintain a balance that promotes recovery and wellbeing.
In this rewarding role, you’ll support an individual with complex care needs, helping them achieve their goals while promoting independence, dignity and quality of life. You’ll also have the unique chance to accompany the client and their family on holidays abroad.
All candidates must hold a full, clean driving licence and be prepared to drive a wheelchair-accessible vehicle (WAV).
Shift Patterns :
Day Shifts : 07 : 00 – 19 : 00
Night Shifts : 19 : 00 – 07 : 00
Key Responsibilities :
- Deliver person-centred care in line with individual care plans.
- Support with clinical needs including medication, therapeutic moving & handling, and managing challenging behaviour on occasion.
- Work closely with the family and the wider multidisciplinary team to provide holistic, goal-driven care.
- Support access to education and vocational opportunities.
- Monitor, record, and report on service users’ health and wellbeing.
- Promote dignity, respect, and independence at all times.
- Accompany and support the client and their family on trips, including international holidays.
About You
Previous experience in a care setting, ideally supporting individuals with acquired brain injuries and challenging behaviour.Experience working with complex care needs.Full UK driving licence.Strong and clear communication skills and a genuine passion for delivering compassionate care.Open to undergraduates seeking a career in health and social careWhat We Offer :
