In-House Legal Counsel - Real Estate Focus

Our client, a privately owned property company focused on management and development, is looking for a confident Senior Associate or Legal Counsel to join their thriving team! The company owns a unique portfolio which includes office, residential (including a London development of 800 flats), hotel, retail and leisure properties spread across the United Kingdom, with some international assets in Europe. This position is focused on commercial real estate matters but will likely include some residential matters on occasion, working closely with the CEO and advising on an evolving portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist a small in-house team with real estate matters including a variety of matters, focused on commercial property but including property litigation and residential property matters on occasion including purchases, sales, landlord and tenant matters, property disputes, and development projects.
• When needed, assist other members of the in-house team with ad-hoc commercial litigation, commercial, and corporate law matters.
• Support the CEO with legal support, advising senior team members and ensuring full compliance.
• Supporting the development of the office and assisting with office initiatives.

Desired Skills and Experience:

• UK qualified solicitor of 5+ PQE or equivalent qualification. Other levels will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
• Excellent post-qualification experience in property law including experience with commercial property transactions and commercial leases.
• Ideally with experience in hotel real estate matters, property litigation, and residential property transactions.
• Excellent communication skills with colleagues and members of staff.
• High levels of attention to detail.
