Job description
Role : Qualified Primary Teacher
Location : Carlisle & Cumbria
Start Date : Immediate start & Easter 2026
Salary : £150 + per day (paid to scale)
Shift Patterns : Part-time & Full-time availability

At TeacherActive, we’re on the hunt for compassionate, reliable teachers to work with our primary schools across Cumbria. You’ll be working closely with young people who need a safe, stable environment. Encouraging a positive and engaging learning environment while managing and behaviour challenges within the classroom.
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced qualified teachers to join our team, focusing on primary schools. You will play a vital role in supporting their academic progress and personal development, helping them to overcome barriers to learning and achieve success.
What You’ll Need :
A calm, patient approach with a sense of humour
EYFS, KS1 or KS2 specialism
Willingness to learn and adapt in the face of challenges
Experience managing challenging behaviour
Team spirit, emotional resilience, and great communication
Experience delivering subjects across the curriculum
Tailor lessons to meet individual students needs and learning styles.
Experience planning and marking
