Job description

Our client is a privately-owned food grade tank carrier, providing transportation services throughout the United States, while also offering import / export services between the US, Canada and Mexico. Headquartered in Winter Haven, Florida and recognized nationwide as an industry leader, our client boasts a fleet consisting of over 600 tractors & 1,200 trailers.

Tanker Freight National Sales Representative

Our client’s vision is to be the best liquid food grade tank carrier in North America. Their mission is to provide their customers with outstanding customer service, delivering their products safely and on-time every day, all year round. Our client is expanding their business to serve their customers’ demands for more food grade

tank capacity.

Job Type : Full-time / Work from home

Responsibilities :

  • Travels to meet customers in person on a regular and consistent basis and cultivates a strong business relationship with all customer decision-makers and representatives who influence the award of carrier contracts, shipping lanes and freight and oversee daily load assignments.
  • Keeps the customer informed of new service offerings, available capacity and service exceptions.
  • Assists the customer with obtaining contracts and price quotes and submits the request to senior management for approval.
  • Regularly and consistently communicates with major accounts to ensure the company is meeting their needs and expectations.
  • Completes weekly reports of customer activities and prospecting to management.
  • Monitors customer load volume, service failures and metrics on a daily and weekly basis.
  • Submit weekly itineraries of customer visits to management.
  • Maintain a positive relationship with drivers in his / her area and discuss possible leads.
  • Communicate customer’s equipment requirements and hours of service to the service center operations.
  • Inform the customer of Speed Service and Expedited abilities.
  • Manage transportation and entertainment expenses in an expense report that is submitted weekly.
  • Keep a record of your daily sales calls and enter them in the computer system.
  • Handle customer complaints through the appropriate channels.

Experience :

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • 5 + years Trucking Freight sales required.
  • 2+ years’ experience in Liquid Bulk Food Grade preferred.
  • Must have a good driving record.
  • This position offers a competitive base salary.
