Distribution Specialist - Insurer

London (Hybrid)

A unique opportunity presents itself with this top performing insurer with a reputation for collaboration, innovation, and strong broker relationships. They underwrite across a wide range of classes and are known for their disciplined underwriting approach, strong culture, and consistent results.

This is a brand new position within their Distribution & Digital Trading function and an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to step up into a strategic, relationship-driven position and really make the role their own.

  • You’ll work directly with senior leadership, mapping broker relationships in the UK & US, and building new ones at a strategic / corporate level.
  • Ideal for someone from a broking, underwriting or business development background who also has strong project management skills.
  • This position is about strategy, opportunity spotting and relationship building, not transactional sales.

Key Accountabilities

  • Support the Head of Distribution & Digital Trading in rolling out the distribution strategy.
  • Map out existing broker / coverholder relationships and identify where growth opportunities lie.
  • Work closely with underwriters to ensure opportunities align with appetite.
  • Use data and insight (via a strong analytics team) to support strategy and track outcomes.
  • Represent the company in market meetings and very occasionally abroad (mainly US).

    • Skills required

  • Experience in the London insurance market in a mainstream or specialty line of business (broking, underwriting, business development or in a KYC capacity).
  • Superior project management and organisational skills.
  • Commercial mindset with excellent relationship-building and influencing skills.
  • Comfortable working with key stakeholders and data to support decisions.
