Hays Recruitment are proud to be working in partnership with a Chester-based secondary school that is easily accessible via public transport as they require motivated and reliable teaching assistants to support in Key Stage 3. This is a long-term contract starting in September 2024.
Your new role
In your new role as a teaching assistant within this school you will be supporting in Key Stage 3 (Years 7 and 8). You will aid with school transisiton's, supporting pupils that have recently joined year 7 and those transitioning from year 8 to 9. You will support your pupils on a 1 : 1 and group basis, offering intervention and booster sessions in all core subjects as required. You will build strong constructive relationships with your new pupils, encouraging them to partake in learning and reach their full academic potential. You will support the class teacher with classroom management, utilising learning resources and promoting positive behaviours inside and outside of the classroom.
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered in your application, you must have full "Right to Work" in the UK and a minimum of 40 days referenceable experience working with children and young people in the last 2 years, as well as :
