Talent Acquisition Early Careers Events Specialist

Make an Impact at RSM UK

The RSM Early Careers Talent Acquisition team is responsible for hiring approximately 750 students annually onto our graduate, school leaver and placement programmes. In addition, we offer a variety of work experiences such as work shadowing and internships. The Early Careers Talent Acquisition team plays a pivotal role in ensuring the firm is attracting and selecting high quality, diverse candidates in line with our ‘Grow our Own’ initiative. Our goal is to provide a seamless efficient experience to both candidates applying for our programmes and our internal stakeholders at every stage of the recruitment journey.

RSM is seeking a proactive and enthusiastic Early Careers Events Specialist, to join our Early Careers Talent Acquisition team in Manchester. Working closely with wider Attraction & Outreach colleagues, you will play a pivotal role in attracting and engaging our future talent and support RSM’s early careers hiring needs.

This role is suited to someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, undertaking multiple tasks and balancing several key priorities with varying deadlines. You will be involved in all aspects of early careers attraction, and the variety of queries and projects will challenge you every day, helping you expand your capabilities and grow professionally.

You’ll make an impact by:

  • Delivering a compelling and innovative attraction campaign to ensure a strong brand both on campus / schools and online to attract a diverse talent pool of the highest calibre and position RSM as an employer of choice in all activity.
  • Planning, coordinating and attending external events (careers fairs, skills sessions / presentations) on campus and at schools, taking ownership of end-to-end delivery from promotion to evaluation.
  • Working closely with our brand team on marketing campaigns and adapting RSM marketing materials for different audiences.
  • Educating your stakeholders so they have a full understanding of the early careers attraction strategy, process and timelines and the role they play within that.
  • Working closely with the wider early careers team to understand where targeted attraction activity is needed and use your external and internal contacts to help drive applications.
  • Providing robust reporting on success measures and producing updates to stakeholders internally to advise which events and initiatives we undertake.

What we are looking for:

We value diverse experiences and perspectives. Here’s what we’re looking for in our ideal candidate:

  • Proven experience of managing high volume early careers attraction campaigns and events.
  • Ideally experience of working within a professional services or partnership environment.
  • You must be an adept communicator, with the ability to engage and present to diverse audiences – confident speaking to groups in-person and virtually.
  • Ability to implement creative campaigns and innovative approaches.
  • Strong relationship building skills to manage stakeholder expectations and influencing.
  • Outstanding attention to detail, strong organisational skills and strong time management skills with the ability to work independently.

What we can offer you:

We recognise that our people are our most important assets. That’s why we offer a flexible reward and benefits package that will help you have fulfilling experience, both in and out of work.

  • Hybrid and Flexible working.
  • 25 Days Holiday (with the option of purchasing additional days).
  • Lifestyle, Health, and Wellbeing including financial wellbeing benefits such as financial tools, electric car scheme and access to a virtual GP.
  • Access to a suite of 300+ courses on demand developed by our inhouse Talent Development team.
